Our mission at MHSG is simple yet profound: ‘Lighting the way through SSA.’ We specialize in helping people experiencing homelessness apply for disability benefits through the Social Security Administration’s two primary programs—Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Applying for these benefits can be a complex and overwhelming process, often feeling like navigating through a dense and stormy fog. For those already struggling with the burdens of homelessness and disability, we aim to be the guiding light, providing clarity and support every step of the way. Our team is dedicated to making sure each client feels seen, supported, and empowered as they work toward stability, access to critical resources, and ultimately, a path out of the storm.

 

MHSG was founded in 1996 and we have been working with Dallas area homeless shelters for over 25 years. Our team of exceptional people have experience working at the Social Security Administration for 30 years, bringing our combined experience to over 50 years of Social Security knowledge for you and anyone in need to call on.
